Looking back to 2021...
From cabaret to Jekyll and Hyde, we had some of Bristol finest actors singing and performing live in the festival marquee. The Merchants Arms has long been a hub where local poets and prize-winning writers could present their work in the evenings. For this reason, The “Merch” served as one of the main venues for poetry at the festival in 2021 with spoken word and creative writing upstairs at the Nova Scotia.
Part of what makes Bristol such a great place to live is its vibrant music scene. Bristol’s bands, musicians and actors came out again to perform for us. Further, there was a variety of bands playing for you daytime and evening at various venues, e.g. Moscow Drug Club, The Shrinks and Rosalind Moreno-Parra. From tango to Morris dance, and from sea shanties to A capella choir music.
